This is a vintage U.S. Army woodland camouflage Nomex Flyer's shirt in size Medium/Long. It is in used, good condition. There are no holes or tears. There is ghosting where the shoulder sleeve insignia was applied on the left sleeve. The right collar Velcro swatch is loose. The shirt is faded and the black branches in the woodland camo pattern are now dark grey.
Aviator's were the first soldiers to receive fire resistant Nomex uniforms during Vietnam. They quickly became popular, both for their life preserving qualities and their comfort. Nomex uniforms are known for the pajama like quality. This woodland variant was made to resemble the BDU with four front patch pockets. Those patches are secured by Velcro. It also features a left sleeve shoulder pen pocket, Velcro waist and cuff adjustments and a pair of flaps near the armpits with openings whose purpose I cannot discern. The shirt has a zippered front secured by Velcro and a collar yoke that is secured by Velcro.
Measurements:
