This is an incredible find!
For your consideration is a vintage reproduction A-2 leather flight jacket in a size 44R (please see measurements below). It is in used, very good condition. It is made of real leather by "Flight Suits LTD", which is now "Gibson & Barnes". There is some wear to the elastic cuffs and waist (pictured). This can be easily trimmed.
The jacket features a zippered front with no buttons and a metal hook and loop at the throat to pin the collar together. The collar peaks can be buttoned down to the jacket. It also features two front patch pockets that are secured by metal buttons, interior pockets on each side and a pen pocket on the left side. This jacket also has the silk "blood chit" sewn into the interior.
The A-2 jacket is another classic of American military fashion! It was beloved in WWII by airmen and non-airman alike (GEN Douglas MacArthur famously wore one). This is an extremely high quality, American made reproduction that is sought after by active duty pilots and aviation enthusiasts. A new production jacket costs around $850.
