Dutch DPM Camouflage Shirt

These are Dutch Disruptive Pattern Material (DPM) camouflage combat shirts. I have multiple shirts available (see measurements below). All shirts are in used, very good condition. There are no rips or holes. Each is slightly faded from use, and there are some slight color variations between shirts. The shirts in the photos are representative of the lot. Some shirts may have a soldier's name inked into the tag.

These shirts are made of a heavyweight cotton twill. This makes them very rugged. They feature epaulettes, two front zippered chest pockets, a Velcroed sleeve pocket, a Velcro swatch for a name tape and another swatch for rank. The shirt is buttoned down by metal snap buttons, as are the sleeve cuffs.

Some jackets feature the German style pebbled grey buttons and others have smooth black buttons. Some jackets have pull cords on the zippers and others do not. Some jackets are missing the caps of the front buttons but, the buttons are fully functional. They are priced separately and accordingly.

The DPM is highly regarded as a woodland type camouflage pattern. It was developed by the British in the 1960's and used by them for nearly 50 years. Although camouflage pattern uniforms existed for decades prior, the British were the first major nation to adopt a camouflage pattern as its standard issue uniform across all forces. The pattern was so popular that many British Commonwealth nations followed suit in adopting DPM, as did other NATO countries - such as the Netherlands.
