NWT U.S. Military Insulated Cold Weather Combat Boots Size: 11 R

These are a pair of U.S. Military cold weather combat boots in size 11R. They are in new, unissued condition. There are minor scuffs as a result of long term storage. The leather remains supple and strong. The soles are hardly worn and they feature the traditional, high traction Vibram mountaineering pattern. These boots are insulated with Gore-Tex, which makes them waterproof and extremely warm.

This type of cold weather boot was initially produced in the 1990's to bridge the significant gap in winter footwear between the traditional leather combat boots and the rubber vapor barrier extreme cold weather "Bunny" and "Mickey Mouse" boots. With the advent and commercial success of Gore-Tex, that material was incorporated into a more or less traditional combat boot to create a very warm, waterproof and practical winter boot. These boots were actually much better than the standard issue boot of the era.

Originally these boots were issued with an additional set of Gore-Tex inserts for especially cold weather. These were rarely used and they ARE NOT included with these boots.

These are the perfect winter hunting boots. They will last a lifetime at a fraction of the cost of a premium set of Gore-Tex hunting boots.

*A Note on Size*
These should run true to size with a thick pair of winter socks. They were meant to accommodate the Gore-Tex inserts and may be a bit roomier than standard combat boots.

Please know your combat boot size before ordering. There are no returns on these. I am not Amazon or Zappos, and I can't afford to ship boots back and forth for the sake of fitting them.
