For your consideration is a yearbook produced by the 5th Evacuation Hospital following its service in World War II. This book is in used, fair condition. The binding is in terrible shape after years of storage. Care must be taken in handling it. There are, however, specialty book binders who can repair this.
This book chronicles the "5th Evac" on its journey from being formed to deployment to Europe in WWII. The 5th was a sort of "M.A.S.H." unit supporting the 5th Army in Europe. Although often overlooked, these soldiers provided a critical service to the American fighting men in WWII.
This book features hand written notes by its original owner. It also has a photograph with hand written names on the back. This is a precious chronicle of U.S. Army history in WWII!
