This is a U.S. Military issue Woodland Camouflage Gore-Tex Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS) parka in size Small/Short. This parka is in used, good condition. There are several paint stains on it. The most notable one is on the front. There are other paint stains on the interior. One wonders how they got there... The original owner also wrote their name on the label and on the inside of the parka.

These are extremely rugged and very warm parkas. They are slightly oversized as they were meant to be worn as the top layer over a "Brown Bear" fleece and other combinations of uniform items and cold weather undergarments. The parka features two front pockets secured by a button and Velcro, a sleeve pocket on the left shoulder secured by Velcro, a peaked hood, zippered armpit vents, reinforced elbows and Velcro cuff closures. They also feature an interior skirt with elastic and a snap closure to trap warm air and mitigate against the intrusion of moisture.
The ECWCS system superseded the old field jacket and field pants system in the early 1990's. It was designed to use the latest in cold weather outdoor clothing technology, such as fleeces, Gore-Tex and Polypro to reduce weight and provide warmer clothing that would be more resistant to moisture in cold weather environments.
