This duffel bag is a must have for the Vietnam War collector!
This is the early nylon version of the standard GI duffel bag. It is in used good condition. The bag was labeled by its owner whose name can still be faintly read. There is a small hole and frayed area at the bottom reinforcement and there are two large repairs on the other side (pictured). This bag is dated 1968
These nylon duffel bags were issued in the 1960's in small quantities as an equivalent of the much more common, standard issue canvas duffel bags. These were made in the same lightweight OD nylon as the M-1967 equipment. They can be considered a precursor to the later issue nylon duffel bags, even though they were made of a different nylon and the canvas duffel bags continued to be produced and issued well through the 1970's.
