This is a beautiful Swiss military wool overcoat. It is in used, excellent condition. There are no holes or tears. As far as I can tell, it is 100% wool with a nylon inner lining.
The wool overcoat is definitely a military garment whose time has come and gone in terms of its utility as a combat garment. Nonetheless, overcoats such as this are rugged and warm and they are reminiscent of a time when military garments were meant to be elegant as well as functional.
This coat features two front slash pockets and buttons embossed with the Swiss cross. There are loops for a belt. The collar can be turned up and buttoned for extra protection during especially nasty weather.
