This is a genuine G.I. mess kit from the Korean War era. It is in used, very good condition. It is clearly marked "Dazey Corporation, 1951". It includes the mess kit fork and spoon.
What's the best way to eat a freeze dried camp meal? It's certainly not in the bag...
The old fashioned G.I. mess kit is still a great piece of camping gear. I find it preferable to high end and high priced camping and utensil sets. They are easy to assemble and clean and contain plenty of space for three servings of your favorite camp meals!
